Gramophone is set to double its headcount on the back of growing demand over the next 6 to 8 months and is looking to hire 300+ professionals across technology, product, operations and marketing. Some of the roles for which the company is looking to hire include Data scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers and Technology.
The company has witnessed 6X growth in its revenues over the last year, and is looking to onboard talent in key management positions in Growth and Strategy team as well.
Accessible to farmers through its mobile app and over phone, Gramophone is a one stop solution to all their farming needs – right from receiving agronomy advice through the entire crop lifecycle, omni-channel marketplace for procuring the right inputs and online output marketplace to connect with traders and other stakeholders to ensure optimum return for their produce.
Tauseef Khan, Co-founder and CEO, Gramophone said, “Building a successful full-stack agritech business involves building intelligence in agronomy, an e-commerce venture, a logistics platform as well as P2P online marketplace. This requires massive deployment of technology as well a layer of data science that provides granular insights on how we can be more frugal and effective across these stacks. Given the massive momentum we are witnessing on the business front as well as our expansion plans, we are looking to hire top of the line talent across our technology, product, and marketing teams. We are also looking to hire key CXO/VP level positions and are looking for senior industry leaders who can be the anchors as we move to the next orbit of growth.”
Currently operational in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, the company aims to expand its operations across 3 more states over the next 12 months. Gramophone has built a unique logistics network which enables the company to deliver farm inputs to farmers’ doorsteps within 48 hours of receiving the order. The network has created employment opportunities for locals across villages who work as ‘agri-entrepreneurs’, interact with farmers on a regular basis, advise and resolve their queries as well as take care of the last mile delivery of agri-input orders. The company aims to double/triple its fleet of agri-entrepreneurs and is looking to upskill them with right knowledge and technology through its extensive L&D programs.
